Centora

Account and data deletion

This page explains how to ask us to delete your Centora account and the personal data associated with it. Centora is the mobile app for fair group meetups (Android: com.centora.app). You do not need to be logged in to use this page.

How to request deletion

Send an email from the same email address you used to register your Centora account (or your Apple Hide My Email / relay address, if that is what you used with Sign in with Apple). This helps us verify your identity and match the correct account.

Email us to request account deletion

Suggested subject line: Centora account deletion request

What to include in your email

  • Your registered email address
  • Optional: your display name and a short note if you sign in with Google or Apple (helps support match your account)
  • Optional: a sentence such as “I understand account deletion is irreversible and I want to proceed.”

What we delete

When we process a valid deletion request, we work to remove your account and associated data held in our systems (Centora uses Supabase for authentication and app data). In plain language, this typically includes:

  • Account and profile: information tied to your user account, such as display name, profile details, saved home/work or other saved addresses and related coordinates where stored, notification preferences, device push token fields we store for the app, and related timestamps.
  • Social: friend connections and friendship records involving your account.
  • Invites: selected contact invite attempts, email invite records, and tracked invite-link records associated with your account where stored.
  • Meetups: meetups you created, your participation in meetups, and meetup-related data linked to your user id.
  • Location: location snapshots or similar location data you uploaded or that we stored in connection with your account, subject to the retention exceptions below.
  • Files: profile images or other files we stored for your account (for example in app storage tied to your user id), when our operational process removes those objects as part of closing your account.

Deletion is completed through our support and backend processes (and any future in-app flow we may offer). We do not promise fully automated, instant deletion unless we explicitly ship that product behavior.

Timeline

We aim to send you a confirmation of receipt within 5 business days and to complete deletion of your account and associated data within 30 days after we verify your request, unless we must retain certain information for legal, security, or dispute reasons (see below). If we need more information to verify you, we will tell you.

When we may keep some information

We may retain limited information when the law requires it or when we have a legitimate need, such as:

  • Records needed for tax, billing, or accounting (if applicable)
  • Information necessary to detect, prevent, or respond to abuse, fraud, or security incidents
  • Data subject to a legal hold, subpoena, or similar legal process
  • Aggregated or de-identified information that does not identify you (we do not use this page to describe product analytics in detail; see our Privacy Policy for how we describe data practices)

Push notifications and third-party services

Push delivery may involve Expo, Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM), Apple Push Notification service (APNs), or similar providers. After your account is deleted, tokens we stored for your device should no longer be used for your account, but those companies may retain data under their own policies. You can review their privacy documentation for details.
